This week in class was a work week for the last module, module 4 was also used as our final worth 80 points. For the module we had to use the website http://www.myebook.com to make an online ebook of everything you learned during class. We had to explain each module in detail and state which standard was best used in the module. And the last part of the project we also had to write about our favorite project or part of the class.

Had to add a picture of my little brother at the pitt basketball game last week.

This week in class we’re talking about our final project, module 4. It counts as our final project and our actual final, instead of taking an online test. The web site we’re using is http://www.myebook.com. The project is basically a combination of all of our previous projects. The book is basically just describing each module we’ve already done already and what standards each project provides us with.

This week in class we did more work on our group projects, our story is finally complete and now we’re just putting the final touches on it and correcting our grammar. In class on Tuesday we also were taught about another web site called Jay cut. I didn’t really like it that much, mainly because I couldn’t get it exactly how I wanted, but with practice it could get easier and more fun.

This week in class we learned about a few websites for our next project. We’re in groups making a story. Our group is over half done with our project. We used mix book to create our story. Mix book is fun because you can actually publish your own book, if you pay for it that is, either paper back or hard back. There is also animoto website where you can make your own movie.

This week in class we got partner for our next assignment. Our group got together in class and decided that we were going to tell our story as a childrens book and it’s going to be about hunting. A little boy or girl that goes hunting with his/her father. We’re going to take turns writing the pages so the story is told by all of us.

I also learned what I wiki was, because before this class I had no idea. So far they seem convenient and useful, and our group has our own wiki on our blackboard site for our class.

This week in class we have class time to work on our module two that is due this friday. I completed my module about horror movies. I am doing a speech in my public speaking class about horror movies and where they came from so I decided to do the same type of project for my module two. I’m mainly talking about the saw movies and how they changed horror movies from scary to more gory and more thinking involved.

This week in class I learned a lot of new things in the powerpoint that I never knew how to do. For one, I learned how to make my power points non linear. Meaning you can’t move from slide to slide right after one another. You have a main page with different topics that you click on, after that back you can back to the main page and pick a different topic. Another addition we learned is adding sounds animations and even movies. I plan to use power point for my project along with a speech I will be giving in public speaking about horror films.

This week during class we learned a lot of extra things dealing with micro soft word. Like how to enter clip art and your own pictures or pictures already that are on your computer. Also learned how to place word art into word documents. The pictures and text can be set behind the text of your original document, like transparent. Another thing taught this week was the website prezi. It’s a website to make presentations, and you have 100 gb to your account to save and make projects.

This week in class we learned yet another new program. On Mac computers only they have what is called inspiration. This program can be used for making outlines and diagrams for organization for presentation. Also if you are not a mac user there is a website avalible fo free online that provides the same services.

This week in class we had a lot of class time to work on module one.

On monday we talked about bookmarks, what they are and why we use them. Once you find a good and or useful website you book mark it so you can go back to it and use it over and over. Also I learned about the website, flickr. Flickr is a website that you can type in the subject your researching and all of the websites that other people bookmark come up on a list. So basically only the useful websites come up, or the websites other people have found to be useful and even educational.
